Pair of George III Sterling Silver Octagonal Covered Entree Dishes

Octagonal with domed cover and ring handle, the base with angular handles. Length over handles 11 7/8 inches (30 cm), approximately 73 ounces.
The arms are those of James Sinclair (1766-1823), 12th Earl of Caithness and Chief of Scotland's Sinclair clan. These dishes were probably part of his wedding service, as he married at Thurso Castle to Jane Campbell on January 2, 1784.
