Accepted forms of payment include cash (up to $2,500) or checks made payable in US dollars drawn from a US bank unless you make other arrangements with Client Accounts. Invoices greater than $5,000 require payment by certified check, bank check or wire transfer. We accept credit cards for payment of auction purchases, with a 3.5% additional processing fee. DOYLE reserves the right to hold merchandise purchased by personal check until the check has cleared the bank.
The invoice will include the successful hammer price of the item and the buyer's premium. The buyer’s premium will be 28% on the first $50,000 of the hammer price; 27% on the portion from $50,001 through $1,000,000; 21% on the portion from $1,000,001 through $4,000,000; and 15% on the portion of the hammer price exceeding $4,000,000. Applicable sales tax will also be added to the final total. All sales are final and subject to the [Conditions of Sale].
Auction purchases should be paid for and picked up at DOYLE within 48 hours of the auction. Items left beyond 48 hours may be subject to a storage fee. Pickups appointments are available Monday through Friday from 9 am until 4:30 pm and Saturday from 10am until 4 pm. Please note: should sold property remain on our premises for more than 31 days following a sale, we transfer it to an independent warehouse on behalf of the buyer and at the buyer’s expense.
