Matthieu de Bauve, maître in 1754.
Mathieu de Bauve, cabinetmaker and a particularly innovative and creative crafstman completed his apprenticeship with Nicolas-Quinibert Folio, attained his master status and moved to rue de Cléry to set up his workshop under the name « Saint-Esprit ». His models were novel, with highly architectural forms, traditional elements and beauty of design.
