Régence Gilt-Bronze Mounted Rosewood Parquetry Commode, by Jean-Mathieu Chevallier
Circa 1720
The serpentine marble top above a conforming case fitted with a secret central drawer flanked by two short-over-two long drawers flanked by scroll and acanthus-mounted chutes, on flared feet; proper left front top of case stamped CHEVALLIER.
