Leigh Kendrick, Director of Doyle at Home, spearheads our Doyle at Home auctions held ten to twelve times a year. She oversees research, cataloguing, catalogue production, photography, and marketing for these popular sales, which include furniture, silver, porcelain, glass, lamps, chandeliers and rugs as a go-to resource for collectors and designers. Leigh also served as specialist in charge for several special collections including Property from a Greenwich, CT House decorated by David Easton, Property from an Apartment Decorated by Jed Johnson & Associates, Property of Miles Lowell, Cherished: American Folk Art from the Estate of a Private Collector, etc. Leigh also chairs one of Doyle’s newest sale categories, Entertaining with Style; and she served as specialist for of 2022’s “white-glove” sales, Luxury Travel: The Louis Vuitton Sale. She also assists with cataloguing for the Americana Furniture and Decorative Arts Department.
Prior to this role, Ms. Kendrick served as Senior Client Relationship Manager in the furniture and decorative arts department. In that role, she operated hand-in-hand with our team of specialists to provide sellers, executors and families with Doyle's full range of auction and estate liquidation services. She was responsible for leading clients through the process of consigning property to auction at Doyle with a focus on the individual needs of each client.
Leigh was awarded a Master of Art in the History of Decorative Arts with distinction from the Smithsonian Institution-George Mason University, and she holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Washington and Lee University in Virginia. She came to Doyle with curatorial and gallery management experience in Washington, DC, as well as a background in auction administration here in New York City.
Ms. Kendrick, a skilled researcher, takes a special interest in furniture and the decorative arts and is a frequent contributor to Doyle Notebook, our weekly digital magazine, and promotes her sales through Instagram with the weekly “walkabout with the specialist” segments. Through these forums, she demonstrates her expertise and continued passion for the auction business. She is a member of numerous professional and scholarly organizations including the New York Art Glass Forum, Furniture History Society, and the Decorative Arts Trust.
