Chinese Export Famille Rose Porcelain Partial Dinner Service
Third quarter of the 18th century
Comprising two slightly graduated rectangular tureens with rabbit handles, with covers and stands, length of stands 14 5/8 inches (37.2 cm); pair of platters, length 14 1/4 inches (36.9 cm); pair of platters, length 13 inches (33 cm); pair of smaller platters, length 11 1/4 inches (28.4 cm); seventeen dinner plates, diameter 8 3/4 inches (22.3 cm); soup plate, diameter 9 inches (22.9 cm); each brightly enameled with roses and hibiscus issuing from rocks within borders of floral sprays; Together with an Associated Chinese Export Famille Rose Porcelain Bowl. In the form of a pomegranate and decorated with flowers, the underside with flowering branches; And a European Covered Flask. Decorated in the famille rose palette and dated 1897.
