The "Jessie Burrill" was built in Church Point, Nova Scotia in 1879. Her sailing career came to an end only three years later. In March 30, 1882, carrying a cargo of kerosene to Shanghai, she was dismasted by a typhoon and abandoned in shallow water off Tung-ying Island. Her cargo caught fire, and the ship was totally destroyed. Fortunately, all aboard were rescued by passing ships.

Wax relined. Generally in very good condition. A few touches of restoration in the sky and on the sails. A few lines reinforced. All of these done very carefully to a high professional standard.
