(i) The Lady: Scattered inpainting throughout; a 3 x 1 1/2 area of repair in the lower right corner; craquelure; wax-relined.

(ii) The Gentleman: A few spots of inpainting including spots at the sitter's temple, a spot in his hair, in his collar, and in his right (viewer's left) sleeve; craquelure; wax-relined.
