Stated second edition (but this an apparently unrecorded issue with the same date as the third). Full contemporary brown calf, spine in six lightly gilt compartments. 8vo by imposition, 7 3/8 inches (19 cm); frontispiece portrait, [32], [8], 752, [16] pp., with sixty-three engraved plates from copper hors-texte, all edges red. Some binding wear, but overall sound, and internally a fresh copy. No copies of this 1716 issue of the second edition are listed on OCLC, nor in any bibliographical works consulted. The profusion of engraved plates present here (mostly of surgical tools) does not seem to be called for in any of the early editions.
