First edition, number 295 of 375 copies signed by the author. Publisher's quarter vellum with linen boards, leather spine label lettered in gilt, in original black paper slipcase. 8 x 5 1/4 inches (20.75 x 13.25 cm); [2], xxiv, 276 pp., frontispiece, plates after photographs, illustrations. Light wear, spotting and soiling to vellum, edges of cloth fraying in a few spots, contents clean, slipcase worn and defective.
An account of the aviator and industrialist Edward S. Evans and his friend the foreign correspondent Linton Wells' record-breaking twenty-eight-day circumnavigation of the globe, using a mixture of air, ground and water transportation.
