A metal bar is affixed to the back of the mask, which allows the mask to rest on a clear acrylic stand. This bar is slightly loose on one end where it attaches to the inside of the mask. The work is currently secure on the stand. The mask itself shows no conditions issues of note; the case shows general light surface wear.

NEW YORK, NY -- Doyle presented an auction of 20th Century Abstraction on March 13, 2024. The sale showcased abstract art spanning the 1940s through the end of the century and will include paintings, drawings, sculpture and prints. From the American Abstract Expressionists, as well as several prototypical artists that predated them, the auction documented the global evolution of abstraction within and beyond the fabled New York School; including Color Field artists, hard-edge abstraction, CoBrA Group and much more.
