Slave bill of sale.
Wilcox County, Alabama: March 12, 1824. Single sheet, 7 1/2 x 6 1/8 inches (19 x 16 cm). Recto with a list of seven slaves and their values, together with (on the verso) farm supplies to the value of $60, witnessed by the various signatories. Matted with image and plaque, displaying both sides of document. Slight browning, but in good condition, not examined out of frame.
An appraisal of slaves on the death of their owner, one Thomas Carson.
