[THE BEATLES]
A fine large collection of books on the Beatles, including many signed and limited editions.
A large collection of approximately 175 books and publications on the Beatles and the experiences of those around them, 1960s to present, includes first and later editions, many signed including books signed by Paul McCartney, Ringo Star, George Harrison, Yoko Ono, Cynthia Lennon, Pete Best, George Martin, Derek Taylor and others, includes numbered limited editions, large format photography monographs and many ephemeral works, many out of print. Original bindings of issue. Sizes vary, some oversized. Highlights are listed below. Please inquire for a full list. Generally fine copies, some wear to the older items.

This is an immaculate Beatles collection that would be quite difficult to recreate today as it includes much primary and secondary material, signed limited editions, and out of print publications from the period. Highlights include:

[George Harrison]. Hamburg Days. Genesis, 1999. Deluxe edition. #15 of 250. Fine, two volumes (Main and Paintings) in a special lithographed solander box with metal title plate. Signed by Astrid Kirchherr, Klaus Voormann, and George Harrison.

Kirchherr, Astrid, et al. Beatles in Germany "BIG." Genesis, 1997. "Preview edition." Special "White label' copy, not part of the regular edition. Copy no. XXXII of 100.

The Lennon Diary 1969, in Aspen No. 7, the British Box in 15 Sections. NY: Roaring Fork Press, 1970. With the Diary, a Lennon & Yoko Ono phonograph recording as well as lyrics in a folder enclosing that recording and a recording of John Tavener. Box worn.

[Paul McCartney] Miles, Barry. Paul McCartney - Many Years from Now. London: Secker and Warburg, 1997. First printing. Signed by Paul McCartney on the title page and accompanied by Perry Cox certificate of authenticity.

[Paul McCartney] Coleman, Ray. McCartney Yesterday and Today. Los Angeles: Dove, 1996. First printing, signed on the half title page by Paul McCartney with the word "Cheers."

Starr, Ringo. Painting Is My Madness. Lafayette Hill PA: ArtCelebs, 2008. Fine in wraps. Signed limited edition, #169 of 200. With numbered print laid in. Signed by Ringo on the title page.

Starr, Ringo. Postcards From the Boys. Genesis, 2003. Signed, limited edition. #661 of 2500. With a specially made sheet of stamps and postcards, as well as a large souvenir postcard "Greetings from Guildford" apologizing for a delay in printing and distributing the book. In an aluminum faced post-box style solander box.

Martin, George. All You Need is Ears. London: Macmillan, 1979. First printing. Near fine in near fine dust jacket. Signed by the author on the front free endpaper: "For Isabella Ball, George Martin, October 1979."
