An archive highlighting the friendship between Renee Meyers and Albert Hadley. A collection of drawings, letters, photographs, and more. Comprising: An interior sketch by Hadley on an opened cocktail napkin inscribed "Happy New House" and dated 1982, 6 x 10 inches, framed; two copies of interior design sketches made by Hadley titled Drawing Room for Renee Meyers, each 8 1/2 x 10 inches, framed separately; A large "Happy Birthday" drawing by Hadley inscribed "Happy Birthday" and signed with the initial "A86" for Albert Hadley, pencil on paper 10 x 9 1/2 inches; Five handwritten notes from Hadley, including one headed "Declaration of Independence for Renee Meyers"; Two inscribed books copies of Albert Hadley: The Story of America's Preeminent Interior Designer and Albert Hadley: Drawings and the Design Process; a photograph depicting Albert Hadley with Sister Parish in Moscow inscribed by Hadley; and various framed and loose photographs depicting Albert Hadley with Renee Meyers, at parties, etc. Some minor wear but generally fine.
Renee Meyers was an accomplished interior designer in her own right and came to work for Hadley-Parish before becoming a client and close friend of Albert Hadley. The Fifth Avenue apartment Hadley designed for Renee Meyers is pictured in his book Albert Hadley: The Story of America's Preeminent Interior Designer. The current group of items illustrates their professional relationship and long personal friendship.
