Portrait by Irving Sussman in grisaille. Rendered in airbrush on illustration board, signed (l.r.). Sheet 17 1/8 x 12 7/8 inches (43.5 x 32.5 cm). Tape from a previous mount on verso, else fine.
Sussman was an artist for the Hearst newspaper syndicate, who was especially skillful in airbrush. He specialized in images of celebrities. Ben-Gurion was one of the principal founders of the State of Israel, and its first Prime Minister.
