NEW YORK, NY -- Join thousands of New Yorkers as Fifth Avenue from 82nd to 105th Streets is closed to traffic and transformed into the city’s biggest block party! New York’s most distinguished museums along the Fifth Avenue will open their doors at no charge for the Museum Mile Festival 2026 on Tuesday, June 9 from 6pm – 9pm.
Founded as an initiative to attract new museum audiences and increase support for the arts, Museum Mile was established as a consortium of museums sharing a Fifth Avenue address. Since its debut in 1978, the festival has grown from a beloved New York tradition into an event with global reach, drawing visitors from across the country and around the world to experience this exceptionally rich concentration of art and culture.
