Olive-Ground Famille Rose Footed Bowl
Six-Character Mark of Daoguang and of the Period
The bowl is raised on a flared square foot decorated with large single peonies on a pink ground. The bowl, glazed aqua on the interior is decorated on the exterior with an olive green ground enameled with four large stylized peonies below shou characters. Between the stylized flowerheads are swag-form bats holding Endless Knots. All of this is between pink and aqua lappet and ruyi borders. Diameter 7 7/8 inches (19.9 cm).
