NEW YORK, NY -- Doyle will hold an auction of Photographs on Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at 11am. The sale will feature iconic images by some of the most renowned names in the history of photography, spanning the early period of the medium up to the present day.
The Collection of Norma and Martin Stevens
Doyle is honored to auction property from the Collection of Norma and Martin Stevens. Norma and Martin Stevens were in love for fifty years. Their remarkable collection attests to their enthusiastic championing of art in its many forms as the spirit of life itself. Norma Stevens, now 85, represented Richard Avedon for thirty years, accompanying and managing his projects as a business manager and dear friend. Martin Stevens, as an art and creative director for Revlon and other agencies, enlivened and shaped advertising’s golden age. Martin Stevens died in 2016. Property from the Collection of Norma and Martin Stevens comprises 43 lots in the June 21 sale.
