[ARION PRESS] ASHBERY, JOHN [and others] and JIM DINE, illustrator. The Temple of Flora.
San Francisco: Arion Press, 1984. Copy 117 of 175 examples, signed by Dine on the second state of the frontispiece. Quarter green goatskin spine over cloth, the signed print in a separate sleeve, both housed in the publisher's buckram case with inset bas-relief image by Dine titled "Flora's Temple Gate," cast in bonded bronze, affixed to the recessed portion of the lid. 20 1/2 x17 inches (52 x 35 cm); unpaginated, text by John Ashbery, Richard G. Barnes, Hart Crane, Robert Creeley, E. E. Cummings, et al; 28 drypoints with engraving by Dine, including a second state of the frontispiece printed on chine colle ("Details from Nancy's Garden") in the separate folder, as previously noted. Light wear to case, the back of the box rather sunned the book fine.
