Additional Notes & Condition Report

Shade: appears to be in generally good condition; the shade is ever so slightly "out of round;" the shade is quite dirty and has what might even be called a "crusty" surface, particularly on the exterior side and close to the lead lines; no evidence of glass substitution or replacement or solder repair; there are some individual glass segments with tight thin cracks, however, not too many; the use of blue colored glass centers to heighten the artistic effect of the blossoms is a particularly nice and infrequently used method in the range of poinsettia shades; shade is nice and tight

Base: appears to be in generally good condition; the patina is a mix of mottled brown and green; the surface is very dull and has a soiled appearance (would benefit from a professional cleaning and perhaps waxing); there are three sockets, which are marked BRYANT; one of the sockets is detached and needs to be secured; this socket also has a replaced socket insert that is not currently wired; all three on/off switches appear to be later replacements (they are not paddles); lamp is currently wired, however, lamp and sockets were not tested; typical minor nicks and abrasions, commensurate with age, usage and handling

Cap: appears to be original; appears to be in generally good condition, i.e., not compressed or dented; dulled appearance
