Sèvres Porcelain (Later-Decorated) Pink-Ground Cylindrical Teapot and Cover (Théière Litron)
The porcelain 18th century, spurious blue interlaced L's mark, incised 5 and 10, the decoration 19th century
Of tapering cylindrical form with straight spout and ear-shaped handle, the flat cover with spire finial, each side painted with a bird strutting in a landscape within a seeded gilt cartouche outlined in carmine. Height 4 3/4 inches (12 cm).
