Sèvres Porcelain Roses and Oeil-de-Perdrix Mosaïque Border Shaped Oval Tray or Stand (Plateau Ovale)
Circa 1769, blue interlaced L's mark enclosing the date letter Q, painter's mark P, for Pierre, incised potter's script Lf mark
Painted with scattered roses and buds, the border with four gilt oval reserves enclosing roses set on a mosaic pattern ground of blue, red and green floral dots centering large gilt oil de perdrix. Length 8 3/4 inches (22.4 cm).

In accordance with the research of David Peters, this type of 'rozes et mozaïque' border was in production from 1767 - 1786.
