Maurice Sendak Cunning Little Vixen: Anthropomorphic Costume for "Blue Jay". Comprising: Head, Talons (Shoes) and Body costume.
New York: 2013. Textile, feathers and padding, painted and modelled over armatures etc. Deterioration to some of the foam components, in all in excellent condition for a costume that saw extensive use.
Sendak created the sets and costume designs for the production of Leos Janacek's Czech opera at New York City Opera in 1981, in which he collaborated with Frank Corsaro.
