Castellani Archaeological Revival Gold, Hardstone Intaglio and Garnet Bead Necklace/Bracelets Combination
The necklace composed of fourteen oval hardstone intaglios of varied hues, joined by stylized scroll and cylinder links, edged by 56 garnet beads, with maker's marks, circa 1870, detachable as pair of bracelets, ap. 106.7 dwts. Length 16 5/8, 8 1/8 and 8 1/4 inches.

Good condition. Signed on reverse of each bracelet with the double C.

Bright yellow gold color.

Intaglios in good condition.

Garnet beads: dark purplish rose, slightly to moderately included, one near end with visible inclusions close to the surface, good polish.

One bracelet further detaches as 3 1/2 and 4 1/2 inches.

Similar or same necklace sold at Sotheby's in 2014 for $81,250.

Width 1 3/8 inches.
