Impressed uppercase mark, M and P, iron-red pattern no. M3174 and painted ::
The center molded with a variety of seashells and seaweed, on a basketweave ground, within a brown rope twist rim. Width 21 inches.

overall crazing and some scattered staining; there is a hairline crack visible both on the underside and top side (less so), which runs across the inner section of the foot rim; the hairline emanates from the drill hole on the foot rim; the foot rim has two drill holes for hanging; because the platter was wall hung there is little to no visible knife scratch marks; not blacklighted
