Each on a stepped square base hung with garlands from ram's masks, the fluted columnar stem with Ionic capital. Height 13 1/2 inches (34 cm), weighted.

Another set of candlesticks in this model by Carter also dated 1772 sold Christie's London, November 17, 2009, lot 275.
