Regency Giltwood Convex Mirror
Early 19th century
The circular mirror plate within an ebonized reeded slip and molded rope twist-carved frame surmounted by addorsed dolphins, the apron with interlaced serpents. Height 44 inches (111.7 cm), width 27 1/2 inches (69.8 cm).

Good restored condition, later gilding and ebonized decoration, shrinkage cracks along joins of construction underneath, shrinkage cracks to ebonized slip, repaired breaks to apron at interesection of serpent tails, chips and rubbing to gilding, crystalization and losses to silvering of what appears to be the original mirror plate..
