Later green cloth with morocco lettering labels. 8 1/4 x 5 1/2 inches (21 x 14 cm); with two lithographed frontispieces, 473; 372 pp., with the half-title in volume II. Small ink spot to edge of frontis ant title in volume I, spotting, bookplate and signatures to endpapers of Edwin Stanton Fickes, the Edward Sands Litchfield copy with his bookplates (one detached and with some offset of adhesive).
