Chicago: A. C. McClurg, 1903. Copy 3 from the edition of 25 sets specially bound for the Louisiana Purchase Exposition, signed by the binder Ernst Hertzberg. Second edition stated on title page. Two volumes. Finely bound in full red morocco gilt by the Monastery Hill Bindery. 8 1/2 x 6 inches (21 x 15 cm); with frontispiece portraits, maps, and the large facsimile map of Lewis & Clark's Tracks laid-in at rear. Some light wear to joint and headcaps, a fine facsimile production.
