The first appearance in any of Shakespeare's plays of the greatest of his comic characters, Falstaffe, who reappears in Henry IV, part 2, and whose illness and death is announced in Henry V. With John Fleming, sold April 10, 1956 (photocopy of the original letter enclosed).
