Chelsea Porcelain Pagoda Figure of Pu-Thai Ho-Shang
Circa 1745-49, incised triangle period
Derived from the Chinese Dehua or blanc-de-chine model, the rotund seated Buddhist sage, resting his right hand on his raised knee, his left hand extended proffering perhaps a large pearl or a piece of fruit, his mouth slightly agape revealing a toothy grin, his earlobes extending to his collar.
Height 3 1/2 inches.

Overall very nice condition. Minute abrasion to finger-tips of left hand, two minor nicks to edge of the base and a small section of underside lacking, kiln evidence of overfiring, the loss likely original to the manufacture.
