Spirited bidding saw impressive prices realized in Special Sections of the December auction, which showcased property from an Upper East Side townhouse decorated by Jeffrey Bilhuber (More) and an apartment decorated by Denning & Fourcade (More).
The top lot of the auction was a painting by American artist George Deem (b. 1932) entitled School of Ingres, 1985, which soared past its estimate of $700-900 to achieve $13,750. Also notable was a Graduated Pair of French Bronze and Brass Grasshopper Floor Lamps by Galerie des Lampes, which achieved $6,250 from an estimate of $1,000-1,500.
