Additional Notes & Condition Report

Please Note: the shade and base are associated: the shade does not sit or rest properly when placed on the present metal cap; accordingly, the shade is not properly secured into place on this base

Shade: there are numerous scattered hairline fractures to the various individual glass segments; there are no apparent losses or missing glass segments, however, one of the blue glass segments has glue residue around its border (visible on the interior side) which suggests it was either loose or detached and perhaps was subsequently re-affixed or else it might be a well-matched replaced piece of glass; the shade is pretty much in the round, however, it measures approximately 16 1/2 inches across one way and approximately 16 5/8 inches across the opposite way; the inner diameter of the aperture opening at the top is 4 1/4 inches

Base: appears to be in generally good condition; typical wear/rubbing to the patina, consistent with age, usage and handling; the on/off switch appears to be a later replacement; the three light sockets and pull chains appear to be later replacements; sockets not tested to see if they are currently in good working condition, however, it is presumed so; cap is associated; green felt sheet is affixed to the underside; apparently unsigned as to maker; lacks finial
