Additional Notes & Condition Report

Metal mount: appears to be in generally good condition; currently with a mottled chocolate brown/rust colored patina, now uniformly dulled, consistent with age and usage

Glass Prisms: none appear to have been broken, reduced in size, etc.; some have small chips and flake losses along the rim edges; two of the opalescent prisms have remnants of a copper colored film (substance) on the reverse flat side - one mostly worn away -the other pretty much intact; the opalescent glass prisms cannot be swapped out and hung properly on this fixture until they receive small wires to allow them to hang straight - this is because the gold iridescent prisms have been cut flat at the tip end where they are suspended so as to fit and hang properly in this fixture - by contrast, the opalescent prisms are not cut flat at the upper tip end and remain rounded; one of the opalescent prisms has a speckled (spotted) appearance; the gold iridized prisms have strong metallic coloration: deep pink, peacock blue, green, gold, etc.; when illuminated, the prisms take on a fiery appearance; the opalescent prisms also have strong opalescence to them; some of the opalescent prisms are wider than others
