Rare George III Bilston Enamel and Gilt-Metal Spyglass Compendium Etui
Third quarter 18th century
In the manner of Thomas Ribright
The white ground with gilt highlights and polychrome-painted bucolic scenes and flowers, an etui at one end opening to scissors, fruit knife, tweezers, bodkin and toothpick, each end with dust slides opening to reveal a spyglass. Length 5 1/8 inches (13 cm).
