[New York: Julius Bien, 1888-1889]. ?Second edition. Contemporary half leather over maroon cloth, lettered in gilt. 26 3/8 x 19 inches; 20 double-page chromolithographed maps laid down on linen. Binding very worn with loss, spine perished, occasional toning and spotting to maps.
This atlas represents the first accurate mapping of New Jersey, the result of the first topographical survey based on triangulation of an American State (Felcone).
