Late Louis XV Ormolu-Mounted Tulipwood and Marquetry Bombé Commode
Third quarter 18th century, probably Dutch
The later marble serpentine top above a bombé case with two drawers sans traverse centered by an inlaid musical trophy under swagged drapery and flanked by flowers, the sides similarly inlaid with flowers, the angled stiles with rams' head mounts and continuing to sabots. Height 35 3/4 inches, width 57 inches, depth 22 1/2 inches.
