Designed as seven double hearts set with a pear-shaped emerald, amethyst, ruby, 2 emeralds, sapphire and pink tourmaline acrostic spelling D-E-A-R-E-S-T, paired with 8 pear-shaped rose-cut diamonds, framed in small old-mine single-cut diamonds, within polished gold looped frames, atop polished bombé bar links joined by circle links, circa 1880, ap. 27 dwts. Length 6 7/8 inches. With fitted box.
