Plymouth: Bowering & Co., 1901. First edition. Publisher's red flexible cloth. 6 3/8 x 4 inches; 61, [2] pp. Minor creasing and rippling to cloth, slightly lean, somewhat overopened, pale foxing to fore-edge.
Extremely scarce, this is the first and only edition, intended for private circulation ("meant only for private circulation... [for] those who took part in the making of a somewhat remarkable record of ship sport" - from the Preface). It records three and a half years of naval sport in South America, including shooting (both hunting and rifle practice), cricket, football, golf, and regattas. Not listed in WorldCat and no auction records traced.
