Publisher's blue cloth decorated in gilt. 7 3/4 x 4 3/4 inches; [vi], 313; [iv], 251 pp.; frontispieces, plates, in-text illustrations, Errata leaves. Light wear to extremities, minor foxing to endpapers, ink stamp to front free endpaper in volume two, but a lovely unsophisticated copy.
Scarce in first edition, and this example is quite attractive. With ink stamp of Digby Nicholl. (2)
