Originally conceived in 1912-1914, it was later cast in an edition of twelve. Numbers 1, 2 and 4 of the edition belong to Cambridge University, the Tate Gallery and the Musee Nationale d'Art Moderne in Paris, respectively. The original is owned by Cambridge University.
