A few chips, creases, small losses and tape repairs to the jacket, which is overall largely intact and a good example; some offset to endleaves from jacket and spotting to fore-edge, a fine copy overall, bookplate of Edith de Long.
Bell is considered one of the foremost hunters of elephants and this his most notable work. Rare in jacket. Czech, Africa, p.15
