Cast by Berto (Berthault) after the model by E. Karpov, St. Petersburg, circa 1890
On a naturalistic rectangular base, modeled as a couple being driven on a troika, signed and struck with foundry mark on base. Length 32 inches (81.3 cm).

A good quality cast; wear and scratches to patina on base and wear to patina on high points of figures and horses; small areas of verdigris throughout; some reins detached or broken; one small brace to sled (to the right of driver) missing; a professional cleaning is recommended.
