Russian Silver-Gilt Icon of the Kazan Mother of God
Indistinct maker's mark, Moscow, before 1899
Rectangular, the figures realistically depicted, with repoussé and chased vestments and pierced halos, on an engine-turned ground and within a border chased with geometric motifs, in a glazed wood kyot. 8 3/4 x 7 inches (24 x 17.8 cm).
