Rectangular, the figures realistically depicted, with repoussé and chased vestments and pierced halos, on a sunburst ground and within a border chased with strapwork and rosettes, with a cloth backing insribed in Russian: Acquired during the Bolshevik horrors in 1918 / General P.V. Rodzianko, in a glazed wood kyot. 8 3/4 x 6 7/8 inches (24 x 17.5 cm)
