The round body rising to a squared flared neck the body painted with roundels of elders inspecting scrolls, samurai and women playing music all on a butterfly and diaper ground, the neck with tall rectangular figural panels, the interior of the wide mouth decorated with an interlaced jeweled type border, base signed Meizan Hododa, made in Japan Satsuma pottery. Height 12 inches.
