Louis XVI Gilt-Bronze Mounted Bois Satine Amaranth Parquetry Secretaire Cabinet

In two parts, the rectangular top above a frieze drawer and a drop front opening to a leather lined writing panel and shelves above small drawers and another drawer, the lower section with a cylinder front opening to another leather lined panel, pigeonhole and small drawers, over a pair of doors enclosing a shelved interior and a hinged fall front cupboard, raised on tapering square legs ending in sabots. stamped CC Saunier JME. Height 69 inches (1.75 m), width 39 inches (99.1 cm), depth 20 1/2 inches (52 cm).
