The Collection of Andrew Clunn

Doyle New York is honored to auction the collection of jewelry designer Andrew Clunn. Mr. Clunn began his jewelry career in 1963 at David Webb, where he remained for twelve years until Webb’s death in 1975. During that time, he worked his way from salesman to director of sales, becoming Webb’s right-hand man. Mr. Clunn handled all of the firm’s most important clients, including the Duchess of Windsor, Diana Vreeland and Elizabeth Taylor. After Webb’s death, Andrew Clunn returned to his native England, becoming managing director at the London jeweler, Bonds. He returned to New York in 1980 and opened his own jewelry atelier on Madison Avenue, Andrew Clunn, Ltd., which offered his signature jewelry, in addition to his coveted bespoke pieces. Mr. Clunn’s stylish, contemporary jewelry quickly became a favorite among prominent women in society and fashion.

Jewelry from the Collection of Andrew Clunn comprises 76 lots throughout the sale.
