Doyle held its Inaugural West Coast Auction of Fine Jewelry on May 21, 2015 in Beverly Hills. The sale comprised over 275 lots of exquisite jewelry by such prestigious makers as Van Cleef & Arpels, Cartier, Bulgari, David Webb and Tiffany & Co.

Highlighting the sale was a circa 1910 Burma ruby and diamond ring that soared past its estimate of $10,000-15,000 to achieve a stunning $245,000. Measuring 3.25 carats, the ruby was an exceptionally desirable, classic pigeon blood color with no heat or clarity enhancement.

Art Deco jewelry in the auction offered a rare circa 1925 pendant-watch by Janesich, France that fetched an impressive $185,000, far surpassing its estimate of $20,000-30,000. Fashioned from platinum and gold set with diamonds and an emerald and pearl, the exquisite watch was decorated in a geometric pattern in black enamel and surmounted by a diamond rondel. It had descended in the family of the original owner.

Prior to the auction, which took place at L'Ermitage Beverly Hills, select highlights were exhibited in April in Doyle New York's Manhattan salesroom.
