Antique Gold and Micromosaic Swag Necklace
The tubular herringbone link chain centering three circular micromosaic panels depicting beetles and butterflies against white backgrounds, encircled by oval green, white, blue and red oval tesserae spaced by pairs of gold balls, suspending three smaller panels of similar motif, all edged by delicate rope-twist and beaded gold, completed by a micromosaic floral clasp, circa 1870, several tesserae missing, approximately 27 dwts. Length 15 3/8 inches.
